We both enjoy the outdoors, camping and riding long distances on unknown roads and we’ve traveled Southern Africa extensively. We also strongly believe that life should be enjoyed and lived to the fullest and that you don’t need material wealth or status to realise your dreams.

Francois Steyn
Lecturer: Management Accounting (US)

Motorcycle enthusiast, nature lover and amateur photographer. Francois has been riding on two wheels for 12 years and fiddles constantly with his Kawasaki KLR650. His passion for anything with wheels started in his stroller… Favourite song: “I want to ride my bicycle” – Queen - it turns out that motorcycles are more fun than bicycles!

Tania Steyn
Marketing Manager: Franschhoek Wine Valley Tourist Association

Explorer, tourism fundi and web designer. Tania is an enthusiastic tourism marketer who constantly finds herself on the open road exploring new destinations. She is passionate about tourism development in South Africa and appreciates a fine red wine.

This has been her first long distance trip riding her own bike and it is definitely not the last! In preparation for the trip she practised by spending her afternoons by riding a 50cc Yamaha on the farm's gravel road and managed to get her learner's license just in time for the trip.
